A few months ago, I made the decision to move to Chicago to pursue a career in digital marketing. I had been working in digital marketing for a while, but I knew that if I wanted to take my career to the next level, I needed to be in a city with more opportunity. Chicago, home to some of the biggest brands and agencies in the world, was the perfect place for me to continue learning and growing as a marketer. If you’re thinking about making a move like this, here are a few reasons why it might be a good idea, along with some top places to visit in the city!

The first reason is obvious – there are more opportunities in Chicago. If you want to work for a big brand or agency, your chances of landing a job are much higher here than in smaller cities. There’s also a lot of competition, but that means companies are always looking for the best and brightest talent.

Secondly, the cost of living in Chicago is surprisingly affordable. It’s not as cheap as some other Midwest cities, but it’s still cheaper than places like New York or San Francisco. And, when you factor in the higher salaries you can earn here, it’s definitely worth considering a move to Chicago.

Finally, Chicago is just a great city to live in. It’s got everything you could want – great food, amazing culture, and plenty of things to do. Here are some of the top places to visit:
